No ano passado, a menos de duas horas da chegada de 2011, a festa nas areias de Copacabana foi interrompida para que o logo dos Jogos Olímpicos Rio 2016 fosse apresentado. Neste sábado (26/11), pouco antes da inauguração da árvore de Natal da Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, o público conheceu a marca das Paralimpíadas de 2016. Criadas pela mesma agência Tátil Design, as duas seguem o mesmo padrão: escultural e em 3D. Mas a paraolímpica é multissensorial. O desafio da equipe da Tátil Design era criar uma marca que carregasse o mesmo DNA da olímpica. Até a escolha, ela foi apresentada para um júri de 12 membros, composto por representantes do governo e do Comitê Paraolímpico Internacional, além de especialistas em design olímpico. O processo durou 10 meses. Segundo Leonardo Gryner, diretor geral do Comitê Organizador Rio 2016, após dois meses de pesquisas veio o ok da empresa de que a marca era original e nova.
